We’re taking a closer look at the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Mercedes-Benz C-Class at Mercedes-Benz of Silver Spring to help you decide which model is best for you.

Cabin Space

Naturally, one of the biggest differences between the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is their size. The midsize Mercedes-Benz E-Class is almost seven inches longer than the compact Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Inside, however, their cabins are surprisingly similar. In fact, the difference of the headroom and legroom in both the first and second row is less than an inch in each area.

Cockpit Design

Once you step inside, you’ll see a clear difference between each of the cockpits too. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has reconfigurable gauges and dual digital displays, including a central 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen.

In the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, on the other hand, you’ll find a portrait-style 11.9-inch multimedia touchscreen and a 12.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge cluster.

The innovative features of each model include:

  • Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX)
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration (wireless in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class)
  • “Car-to-X” technology
  • Available wireless charging
  • Available in-car Wi-Fi

Both of these vehicles are certainly fun to drive. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with mild hybrid drive to produce up to 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It takes just six seconds to accelerate to 60 mph.

The agile Mercedes-Benz E-Class is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine that produces up to 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. It also boasts an impressive 6.1-second 0-60 time.

So, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers slightly more power, but the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is slightly larger and more advanced. Need help deciding which is your favorite?
